Yahoo has launched a new edition of Yahoo! Web Analytics - YWA, and it should be available to all by the end of May.
This new edition presents two new features exclusive to Yahoo, a demographic review, and a psychographic review; both based on prior knowledge. These new parameters will enable a new and specific information regarding the internet use, and specific sites based on people's gender, for example.
Twitter search is taking a step up
Santosh Jayaram, Twitter's new VP of Operations, has recently confirmed that Twitter search will soon start crawling links included in people's tweets and indexing them. This means that Twitter search engine will become a more suitable rival for Google, but that's not the point. Twitter search is meant to be a smaller, real time search engine. According to Jayaram, Twitter is also looking for a better way to tailor search results. The results today are a basic collection of tweets with key terms; the goal is to add some sort of reputation filtering, which will produce better results.
